Our plan is to help Chattanooga become one of the healthiest cities in the country. We are looking for companies that are willing to reach a standard of health excellence. The cost to the Employer is FREE, and the employees volunteer to reduce their BMI at a corporate discount. All employees are screened FREE and the ones that have a BMI greater than 30 may enroll into the program.

Regardless if the insurance companies will lower rising health care costs or not, this is a win win for companies in Chattanooga and across Tennessee.

Purpose of Tennessee Certified Health Excellence

The TCHE program started in 2011 by The Weight Loss Firm and InShapeMD medical weight loss. The TCHE Business status recognizes Tennessee Businesses that are working to improve Tennessee's health by providing health and wellness opportunities for their employees.

Eligibility

Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to apply to become a TCHE Business. Whether your business employs 1, or more than 1,000, we hope you will apply.
Starting in 2011 there will be an application for entry into the program.

Businesses will be Certified in the Following Categories Based on Size and Type of Business:

Small Business 1-25 employees
Medium Business 26-100 employees
Medium-Large Business 101-500 employees
Large Business 501-999 employees
Corporate Business 1000+ employees

Applications are due December 31, 2012. Certification will be announced in January 2013 and awards ceremony will take place on March 1, 2013. Each application will be reviewed by the The Weight Loss Firms Business staff. The applications will be scored based on a total average BMI score for all employees. Based on the total average, businesses will be awarded a basic, merit or excellence certification. To obtain Health excellence a business must have achieved a 5 star rating.
